Sorta surprised that there is no post for this current application for Pitt, especially since the application deadline is a month away. Decided to make this thread for people looking to discuss the application process. 

Anyone applying to Pitt? I made a last minute decision to apply just a few days ago, so I'm trying to get all of my things in order to submit on time, haha.

Some people (like me) interviewed close to 2 months ago, but others interviewed only 2 weeks ago so I suppose we just give them some grace.
 

But it’s so hard not to be anxious ? 

It’s unfortunate. Lots of other deadlines approaching and interviews. I think im a little surprised at the lack of communication. Spending more money on apps then potentially required or letting places give potential interview slots to others…im just surprised with the reputation they have.

I get what you’re saying. It’s a little different given the timing of their applications vs other application cycles.

It’s probably wishful thinking to believe they’d call us this late, but I hope I’m wrong!

It’s weird they called a few people on Tuesday and the bulk of us still don’t know our fate by the end of the week. Looking at the forums from previous years versus our year, they seem to have deviated from their normal protocol. I’d think they’d send out rejection letters to people before they started with acceptance calls. But that’s not what they did this year.

I think those people who heard back were prioritized because they applied by the priority deadline.

During my interview, I believe that she said that we’d hear by phone first, regardless of the decision. But as I think about it, it certainly is strange for them to call an applicant just to tell them they’re denied.

I’m actually shocked that we are this far into July and have not received communication.  I want to believe that there must be some unique outlying reason for this.  Every day that passes makes it tougher for people who need to relocate.  It is also interesting that a couple people got selected earlier this week and that was that.

As someone who applied for the priority deadline and interviewed in April, I still have not heard anything either way.

OMG, it must be DAAYYSS. I feel bad for future cohorts that look online to see pages and pages of useless banter regarding how we haven’t been contacted and speculating on when we will hear back, haha
