Hi,
I am looking at starting my pre-req's for nursing and thinking about completing them at University of Phoenix online. Has anyone had any problems with transferring these courses or failing to get accepted to any nursing programs because of this? Interested in hearing more about your experiences and much success to you all!
Thanks for your feedback!

Transferring credits will be the easier part... trying to get U of P out of your pocketbook & keep them from continually contacting you to 'recruit' you into more education... that'll be the hard part.

HouTx, you are not even kidding on this one. I made the mistake several years ago of filling out their web form to get information on one of their masters programs. They called me 4 - 6 times per day, EVERY day for months, never leaving messages (I only knew who it was by reverse lookup) until I finally answered and told them to stop harassing me. Even then, they still called until I threatened to report them. Not sure who I was going to report them to, but the threat worked! :)

I've had the same problem with U of P after filling out some information online. (the information I filled out had to do with nursing education or scholarships, but not specific to U of P) I answered the phone and played dumb…like I had no idea how they got my info and had no intention of returning to school etc.. It worked and they stopped calling me.
Thanks everyone for leaving your comments...Hopefully more people can respond in regards to the pre-req's. Is there any particular reason any of you did not continue with them?
