Has anyone in here done the University of Phoenix's online program for the BSN? I was thinking about doing it once I get my ADN next year. It seems easy enough. Can anyone give me some opinions on it? Is it expensive? Hard to do? Easy to do? I've tried one online course before, and I ended up withdrawling because I never did the work. However, that was nutrition and I wasn't interested in it at all. I'm sure if I know that I will be working towards a higher degree I will do all the work required of me. This just seemed kind of easybecause they know people will be working while trying to get their bsn so its not too accelerated. They only do one course at a time. Can I get people's thoughts and opinions? Maybe even talk to someone who went through it? Thanks!

I am currently in the UOP MSN Program. I love it. The format is perfect for me. It is very fast paced you are done with a class in 5 weeks and I absolutely love it. It seems expensive inititally however, considering you never leave your home, they furnish all your books and reference material online I think it is great.

My boss did her BSN via U of Phoenix. Expensive, yes, but she's happy with it, and she worked full time. She just finished in September. There were a few other nurses within the company doing it, so they studied together, did projects or whatever. She said it "broadened" her. She had a positive experience.
I really didn't ask about price because I wasn't too concerned about it. Can someone tell me an estimated price of how much tuition is? How old are these people who by the way? I'm just wondering if anyone my age has done it... I'm 20 years old, will be 21 when I start taking it.
She started when she was 22, finished at 23.

It's pricey.....about $1200 for one 3 credit class! There has been many threads here about ADN to BSN programs. Try doing a search on University of Phoenix and you will find them.

The price turned me off to UoP. I've heard good things about it though.
Here's a lik about other RN to BSN programs that are online

I find getting the RN to BSN online the only way to go for me. Working "only" 3 12-hr shifts a week definately helps.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I did the BSN and MSN both with UofP - easy, quick, but expensive. All together - it was about $42,000 for both degrees. However...I was looking at speed. I did the BSN in 18 months and the MSN in 12 months. I went straight through and doubled classes most of the time. You do have to have self-discipline though because its totally on you to get the work done.
