University of Pennsylvania FNP Applicants 2016

Hello everyone!

I just applied for the FNP program at Penn for Fall 2016 start!! I have found tons of threads on here for past cohorts but none for 2016 and I wanted to have a place we could all connect and discuss the application process!! Please feel free to post and let's hope for some acceptances!!!!!

do you come in as part time also? this is what the top of my letter said:

On behalf of the Master's Admission Committee, I would like to congratulate you on youracceptance to the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Family NP Program, MSN,Part-time program, beginning Summer 2016. You will begin Full-time study Fall 2016, yourclinical cohort will start spring 2017.

No problem! I hoping to stay in touch with you both too!! I hope some more people reply to this thread as well since we all will be in all the same classes throughout the program. My acceptance was part time too just like yours. Apparently you don't have to take the research course in the summer. The advisor told me that it can be changed in the plan of study.

WHEW! I only graduate May 21st so trying to race back home to start classes would be insane! Thankfully we can change it!

Should i sign off on my plan of study and accept the offer, and then try to get in contact with advising to alter the plan? Who did you contact? (I know nursing grad admissions loooooved to never answer the phone!)

That was my concern too. Trying to start classes but not graduating yet. I would sign off on the plan of study because it did say at the bottom that changes can be made. I signed off on mine and am now trying to contact somebody for help getting the plan of study changed. No department like to answer the phone apparently lol. I contacted the generic advisor email I found on this page for accepted masters nursing students online and we have to get in contact with program director of the program. I emailed her too but have not gotten a response back yet. It's has been difficult to get in contact with somebody.
