Hey, just signed on here im new to this. I currently reside in st. louis, MO in community college I have all my pre-reqs done (for community collge) taking Nutrition just because. Anyways, the questions I have about the University of Oklahoma Nursing program. I am applying for the Accelerated Program.
first, I wanted to ask im confused it says it has 3 locations but I thought the Location was just in Norman, OK? but none of them are Norman, OK. so which one does most people attend?
When do I apply and whats the cut off date? It says apply by the deadline but what if I apply before? Im looking for next fall if possible.
I have taken Anatomy I and II but I see I need Human Physiology is the only Pre-Req I need am I able to apply while I take that class I am going to take in the summer which will only take a month
whats the NLN challenge exam?
I am looking forward to getting in this Program because I only need a 2.5 GPA which im surprised to see. I hope someone who attends there or has knowlege can help me. Thanks

I applied to their program a while back and I'm still waiting on my letter to come in the mail sometime this week or next. From what I gather, there are a lot of applicants (~400). The campuses that have an accelerated program are Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Duncan. Don't be fooled by the 2.5 minimum gpa. They typically accept students well above the minimum standard and with such a high applicant pool they can be picky.
They start looking at applicants after the application deadline. When I applied, I applied before the deadline, hoping that they could tell me my application status sooner, but that didn't happen. I applied in October, 2010 and I still have not received a letter of acceptance/deny yet. In any case, good luck!!
