I've applied to OUHSC FNP program for summer 2014. I haven't been able to find any threads from applicants. Has anyone else applied to the University of Oklahoma NP program? Or is anyone currently in the program?
Hello! For all who were accepted, I just graduated Dec. 2013, I am wanting to apply to start Summer 2015. Do you guys have any suggestions? I also would like to know if you guys knew if they just looked at the last 60 GPA hours or the whole college GPA? Do you think applying without much experience will hurt me enough for them to not accept me? My GPA is around a 3.6 from UCO, but I went into nursing school with a 3.9, and it dropped throughout nursing school. Thanks for the help! Also, is it easier to get into the Tulsa program?
I received an email from OUs family practice program stating that I wasn't accepted but put as an alternate for their summer '15 program Has anyone heard of alternates getting in? I just can't picture someone getting in and then deciding not to go - but you never know. I really had my hopes up for OU! I got into Kaplan and Chamberlain online programs and still waiting to hear from USA. I don't want to wait another year to *maybe* get accepted into OUs program when I could be a year in to another program. Grr what to do! Any suggestions on these other online schools or heard of anyone being on the waitlist and getting in? :))
I was also put on OU's waiting list. They offered me a spot 2 weeks before classes started. Since University of South Alabama offered me a spot without putting me on their waiting list, I accepted it. Plus, the classes are all online so this way I can keep my full time job. However, my summer class in nursing theory isn't going as well as I had hoped. I feel as though I should have got a PHD in APA before starting the course. They appear to be more concerned about APA and less concerned about content. I've even had a friend, who has a masters in English, proof read my papers and I'm still receiving bad marks for APA issues.
