Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, I definitely know how you guys feel. It was a year ago that my life changed and still can't believe that I'm in nursing school As others have posted, the program is tough and can be a downright pain in the :angryfire. But it was all worth it. Good luck everyone and I hope you enjoy the journey.
Anyone know the odds of getting accepted with a course in progess? I kind of assumed that because I have a course in progress, the best case scenario is I get waitlisted until the grade posts. Anyone out there have a similar situation and ended up being accepted? So many questions...
I am in the same boat. I have one class currently in progress. I initially thought it wouldn't be a big deal since if I did not get in because of that I could just reapply for summer but now that SDSU is taking over, who knows what will happen. I don't know either but I was preparing/assuming to get wait listed best case scenario also.

I don't know how they decide things now, but I got accepted with two classes in progress. (nutrition and history) I guess they weren't as crucial as other classes, but still, two I thought was a lot.
I just finished with Lisa in October, glad to be done. I think this program has the same amount of problems as any other program, I've spoken to other students in other programs and they all have the same exact concerns. Like, late notification of things, especially schedule-wise, but this is the nature of the beast, its hard to know how staffing is going to be on a floor, what units will be available, etc.
Good luck everyone, I'm thankful for having done my degree with OU, met great people, and learned a great deal. Hopefully I can get a job soon! :) Good luck again!
