University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all! My name is Jenn and I have been a lurker following this forum. I just found out I got accepted as well!

I'm so excited. I applied for the Summer start and was an alternate that did NOT get in. So I gave it another shot and I'm so happy!

I'm from Carlsbad, but am living in Lake Tahoe right now so am getting all excited to move back to SD!

Looking forward to meeting you all on Wednesday! :nuke:

Congrats on your acceptance! Do you have any idea how many alternates they chose from the applicants and how many got in? Thanks!

No, I don't but they did tell me up until that point pretty much every alternate has gotten in, but they actually told me they "couldn't give me numbers" which was very frustrating! good luck to you!

Well good luck to you too! When I spoke to Suzanne she said that we would be notified by phone if a spot becomes available. Let us know if you hear anything. Are you going to the open house Wednesday?

Thanks :) I'm still hoping for us alternates....but at the same time I would feel awful for anyone who gets in and has to turn it down for some reason. I am going to go wed. night just in case I do get in or even if I don't it's probably useful info to know since I will be trying for January.

I wish we could find out where we stand on the list of alternates. I'm not looking forward to another month of nerves wondering if I might get in :bugeyes:

That's a good idea - about the ribbon. Should we set a little area to meet beforehand, in case anyone wants to meet that may not have any red ribbon handy. :) I'm willing to arrive early to chat a bit before the open house. let me know!

Good idea about the ribbon, I'll be on the lookout for you! Also, I think its a wise idea for the alternates to attend the open house. I bet there are already people who've declined acceptance. See everyone Wednesday!!!

I'll look for the ribbon too. I am going straight from work so I don't know if I will be able to get there much before 3pm.

For us alternates- I'm just hoping that there were people who applied to multiple programs and chose another for one reason or another. I got a text from a friend of mine today saying there is a girl in one of her classes who was accepted to both OU and San Marcos and is choosing San Marcos so, thats one down! See you all Wednesday.
