Hi still waiting for a reply to UC for spring semester, but thought I would try to start a thread for new and current MSN students of any advance practice program at University of Cincinnati. I hope you all join me.

I am applying to the Women's Health program. Was it FNP that your advisor told you was full? I would be fine even with Winter! I just want to hear some good news!! :D

I received an email exactly two weeks after I submitted all of my application material on March 10, 2010. Then a call from my advisor a day later:cool:

I participated in a virtual information session tonight. The program coordinator, Janaki, was on to answer questions. She said turn around time right now could be as much as 8 weeks! She said there may be a pile of people who are accepted, but they are just waiting to send out the acceptance packet. It's so frustrating knowing that a decision may have already been made, but I may not find out for several more weeks! It was nice talking with her though, and getting a better picture of how the process works. She said the admissions committee met recently, but didn't specify when.

starkitten, or anyone who was already accepted- Did you also receive a letter in the mail? I talked to the coordinator and was told a letter was sent to me and I should receive it shortly. I am wondering if this means it is a denial since I have heard people say their acceptance was through email. You'd think they would also send denials through email though. Just nervous now!

I received a denial letter in the mail :( I am not discouraged though, I will keep trying and someday get the opportunity to achieve my goal! Good luck to everyone else!

Just wondering if anyone has any updates? Going on five weeks now and still haven't heard anything. I'm so nervous!

I've heard the online programs through the University of Cincinnati are amazing! Anyone a current or former student? Thanks!

I sent in the rest of my application over the weekend. I'm hoping to do the online CNS/NE program, hopefully in Fall 2010.

Is Anatomy & Physiology III required as a prerequisite course for regular MSN applicants?

Their website lists it as a prereq. for the accelerated program, and I (a Houstonian) can't find any place where such a course is even available! :(
