I was recenlty admitted to UC's online FNP program for the spring quarter. I submited my application in mid January and got an admission letter Jan 27th. I am still waiting for orientation information. Any other new enrolles out there?

Hey

svobodah congrats on getting admitted. I finished my app on Jan. 20th for the clinical nurse specialist/ nurse educator. I hope to hear something soon, the waiting is the worst. I received a little note in the mail from a Graduate assistant offering to answer any question I may have. When I first saw the envelope I was so excited thinking it was an admission decision but not yet. I hear the programs are very good.

Thanks for the congrats. It may be a few more weeks before you hear back from them. It sounds like you could have barely missed the most recent review committiee. I have heard the programs are very good too. Best of luck to you

I am considering the FNP at University of Cincinnati and Frontier FNP programs. I have seen info from students at Frontier but nothing from anyone at the University of Cincinnati. Are they too busy to post? I would love to hear what they think of the online program.

Hi All,

I am ecstatic to have just received acceptance into UofC's FNP program. I had been waiting awhile on pins & needles for almost over a month & were nervous b'c classes start next month. Well I contacted my advisor and received word back I have been accepted but for the following semester :lol2:. I was ready to start now but then decided I will just have to wait. Otherwise, I have heard that their program is good so far and they are a highly recommended school. I would like to keep in contact with any other students who are attending UofC's programs and so that we can network and possibly see each other through this path. If any of you would like to keep in contact my email address is [email protected]

I have also applied to the FNP online program at UOC. I hope everyone can keep in touch for moral support!! How is everyone doing in the program so far??

Hi JKidzMom,

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, that would be great to keep in touch and lend moral support/encouragement :yeah:. This is just another travel in life and I feel it is often lighter when you have friends & encouragment along the way! So that would be great for us to continue to keep in contact. It appears from the postings below that there are already a number of students attending and I have also received some emails from other pages posts. If anyone would like to keep in touch with me my email address is [email protected]. I do not know if any others are interested but maybe we could start a main page on this site or another site, specifically, for students like us entering this program. Please let me know if there are any others interested in doing this. Thanks :heartbeat

Your post caught my attention. Does this mean you apply and begin in the same year? Most of the programs I am looking at all have an application period almost a year ahead of time!?

I just received admission to the UC FNP program starting in the fall 10 semester and looking forward to it. Would like to network with others who have finished and those who are going to begin the program as well. I'd like to hear reviews of the program from those that have finished or are currently enrolled.

Congrats!!!! :yeah: How long did it take to find out you were accepted from the time of application?? I hope we can keep in touch. I think it its important to have moral support when you are doing online classes. Best of luck!

I guess it took about 2 weeks after all my application materials were submitted. What session did you apply for? And yes I would like to keep in touch. I too would like the moral support and I think starting a main page as suggested below is a good idea.
