University of North Georgia Spring 2018 Cohort

Published

Hey everyone!

It's a little early but I'm already anxious about applying for UNG's nursing program this Spring 2017 to start the program 2018! I thought I'd start a thread for those of you also applying to maybe share scores, and study tips! I currently have a 3.5 gpa and am taking the HESI in March! I'm excited to hear from everyone!

I am!! Who did you take?

Everyone raves about instructor G.K.M. and he fills up SUPER fast! I've heard nothing but good things.

I took L.A.M. and didn't have a hard time at all.

I don't think we are allowed to post names, so those are the initials.

On the application I checked the option for no campus preference. I live about the same distance from both campuses so I figured whichever one I get into will be an easy commute.

I'm in the same situation. I live equal distances from both campuses, so it didn't matter to me as long as I can just get into one of them.

I applied with a 3.4 gpa and a 89 on the hesi. Hopefully I get in..

Does anyone have any clue when acceptances/rejections will be sent out? I applied with a 3.76 GPA anda 91 on the HESI, after taking it a second time. I applied for the fall but it 'wasn't my application term' as my advisor put it, so I'm done with all the classes leading up the the program this fall. I'm so nervous yet excited at the same time! Good luck to all of you! (:

Your stats sound great! Which campus did you apply to? I was told that they hope to have the emails sent out by the end of July.

I would think they would have to get the letters out mid to late July, as those who get accepted will need to enroll in the nursing class that is offered online in the Fall. NURS 2603, is the course I think...

I applied to Gainesville, but I've heard a lot of different things about acceptance. One person i talked to, who supposedly talked to an advisor about this so im hoping its true, said that even if you preferred campus is full and you still get into the program you'll just be sent to the other campus. Now i can't wait til the end of the summer!

Does anyone have an update on their progression of going through applications and sending out emails? Just wondering if they may get them out sooner than expected.

Hey guys! I was actually accepted for Fall 2017 and I'm in the middle of the Intro to Prof Nursing Theory class. If you guys have any questions about acceptance or the program as we progress, I'd be happy to help :)

Just spoke with someone on the Gainesville campus, they said letters/emails should be sent out the first of August!
