University of North Georgia Spring 2018 Cohort

Published

Hey everyone!

It's a little early but I'm already anxious about applying for UNG's nursing program this Spring 2017 to start the program 2018! I thought I'd start a thread for those of you also applying to maybe share scores, and study tips! I currently have a 3.5 gpa and am taking the HESI in March! I'm excited to hear from everyone!

Hi! I'm also applying this year for 2018. I'm also nervous and I take the HESI May 25th. My GPA situation is complicated. I have a 3.4, but since the program looks at everything then that brings it down to a 3.0 because of 2 F's I have from 7 years ago. I am working on getting the F's repealed and turned into W's, but it takes a while for them to make a decision. If I can get those F's turned into W's, then my GPA will be in decent shape for the competition, although still considered below average. I have to make an A+ on the HESI. Honestly I really don't think I'll get in this year, but I'm applying to a few different programs. All I have left to take is Micro and Chem II. How did your HESI go?

I've also applied for Spring 2018. My GPA is 3.93 & I scored a 88.5% on the HESI. Does anyone know when we should get an acceptance/denial notice?

I have been reading past forums on here and it takes a while, a few months at least to get a letter

Thanks. I still have to take Statistics, Chem II & Spanish. Hopefully I can keep my GPA up in all those classes.

Spanish kicked my butt this semester. It's definitely not my strong point. Came out with a C, but got 3 A's and one B for the rest of my classes. I'm going for the 96 or above on the HESI to be my saving grace.

Who did you take for Spanish? I already know it won't be an easy A for me. I've tried to learn it before and just can't seem to grasp it!

Hi! I am also applying this semester for the Dahlonega program. I currently have a 3.55 GPA and an 80.5 on the HESI but take it again at the end of the month. I havn't had anatomy two yet, so I am a little behind in that section. Starting to really get stressed out right about now because it is right around the corner!

I did take spanish and it was very difficult for me but it's not my strong subject. Well my GPA stands at a 3.1 and I know my chances are slim to none but I'm still going to try. I take the HESI Friday and I've been studying for months. I'm applying to other programs too so I won't be heartbroken if I don't get in, which I'm very certain I won't. I like a good challenge though.

Good luck on the HESI! I have a friend who had a 3.0 GPA last year and made it in, so don't give up hope!

Hey! I have applied to Spring '18 on the Dahlonega campus, too! I am currently at Kennesaw State and I have a 3.56 GPA and just made a 92% on the HESI today. I'm hoping I get accepted! Good luck everyone!

Hey! I applied to the Spring of 2018 at the Gainesville campus! I'm currently going to Georgia Gwinnett College and plan to transfer over if I get accepted. I have already submitted a application and taken the HESI exam. However, I am having a little trouble figuring out which term I'm suppose to apply to. I read that on University of North Georgia nursing department website thatI need to either Fall of 2017 or Spring 2018 but I'm not sure. If anyone could help me out with choosing the correct term that would be awesome! If anyone has anyone questions I'll do my best to help you as well! Good luck everyone!!!
