University of North Georgia Spring 2018 Cohort

Published

Hey everyone!

It's a little early but I'm already anxious about applying for UNG's nursing program this Spring 2017 to start the program 2018! I thought I'd start a thread for those of you also applying to maybe share scores, and study tips! I currently have a 3.5 gpa and am taking the HESI in March! I'm excited to hear from everyone!

You will have to apply for spring 2018 which is due by tomorrow. Fall 2017 admissions were back in the fall semester of 2016.

Do you know what she made on the HESI? That's crazy! I have a 3.55 and only an 81 on the HESI and I have a strong feeling I probably won't get in and it really sucks!

Hey everyone!

I have applied to both campuses (no preference option) for Spring 2018.

I have a 3.8 GPA and an 87% on the HESI.

I am hoping that is good enough to be accepted.

Who did you take for Spanish? I already know it won't be an easy A for me. I've tried to learn it before and just can't seem to grasp it!

Are you on the Gainesville campus? There is an AMAZING Spanish teacher there. I made an A in Spanish.

Hey everyone! When talking to someone at the nursing department yesterday, I was told that roughly 350 people have applied for spring 2018, and that includes both campuses. Since 100 people get in total, I'm hoping we have a pretty good shot! I got an 88% on the hesi and my GPA is a 3.44.

That seems like a low number of applicants compared to Fall! Maybe that also includes people that applied before they were ready. I know on some of the other threads, they said that like 100+ people had applied that didn't meet the minimum qualifications.

I also talked with someone from the Nursing department today and they told me that they hope to have acceptance emails sent to UNG emails by the end of July.

I was told that as well. I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long! I'm a little nervous about not getting in because I know of several people who had high GPAs (3.7-3.9) and a good HESI score, but didn't get in for the fall 2017 cohort.

I know! I'm nervous about that too. I have a 3.8 and an 87%, but in my mind I think there has to be 100 out of 350 that have better scores than me. I know it's bad to think that way, but I think all of us applicants tend to do that.

Your GPA and HESI score are great, you will get in!

Thanks. :) I hope you get in too! What campus did you apply to?

I am!! Who did you take?
