Hello! I made this forum to connect with applicants or those planning to apply to UNLV's new MSN program for those with a non-nursing degree. Does anyone know when they'll start reviewing applications? It doesn't say on the website whether it is a rolling admission or not. 

@Mim12345 The program is only one year including a Summer semester. Start date for fall is September and from what I remember during the info session, end date is August!

Can I ask where you all heard decisions were being sent out mid august? I spoke with someone earlier this year who said decisions would be sent by Aug 1 because they have orientation mid August for the Sept 11 start date.

@kirbyyy I was told all classes are online with 1-2 days in person practicum.

This was the exact email that I got from the graduate nursing admissions:

"We've received your completed DEMSN application. Admissions decisions should be made by mid August and we will not be reviewing applications until July 1st.”

I got the email a few months ago tho so they might've changed it because honestly mid August is just too late.

@kirbyyy strange! I never received that email response when I submitted but my application was submitted and shows it is under departmental review. Fingers crossed for us both, but yes, August seems very late especially for those who need to relocate.

Hi, has anyone else received the same emails from admissions about not being able to offer admissions for Fall 23'? The e-mails confused me.

So they sent out an initial email saying that they weren't able to offer admission for fall of 23' and that they could roll our application over to Spring 24'. Then sent out another email a few hours later saying;

"I have been getting a lot of emails asking why we were not able to offer admissions for Fall '23.  Please note that you have NOT been denied. We only have 32 seats available and over 150 applications. However, we are offering for you to roll your application in order for your application to not get denied.”

So im really confused.

I wonder what it means if you didn't get an email at all?
