Anyone applied for University of Miami this year?

Hello Guys,

I just submitted my application to NursingCas on Wednesday. I chatted with someone from NursingCas about my transcripts still say arrived and the guy told me it takes 2 weeks for transcripts to be verify. I also applied at another university. My question to everyone is. How did it take you guys to receive the email to set up the canelink account? Did anybody create a facebook account for the Spring 2020 ABSN program? If so I would like to join it.

I also applied for the Spring 2020 term and am waiting to hear back. I applied toward the end of May and my application just got marked as “complete” last week. Hoping to hear something soon!

Has anybody talked to admissions about when the next batch of acceptances are going out? I submitted my application on 4/29 with everything complete the next day and have only been notified that my application has been received, but that is it.

Me and you are on the same boat. I submitted mine also my transcripts still say received on NursingCAS. I haven’t even received an update from UM letting me know that they received my application yet.

Wow just posted that right now and I just received an email from UM telling me that they received my application. They sent me my Cane Student account number. That was crazy just posted the other message.

That's crazy! When did you submit your application? Trying to figure out the whole timeline for everything. My transcripts have been marked as "Arrived" for a couple of weeks now, so I am wondering when those will update to verified status. I'm still waiting on a recommender though, so I'm sure that will slow down the process as well.

Actually I submitted my application Wednesday night. I have Nutrition and human development in progress right now. This is the last week for my human development class and Nutrition end August 10th. Hopefully I get in the program.

Oh, that's fast! What is the purpose of the CaneLink account? Is that just another way to monitor your application? Good luck with everything! Hopefully the spring entry semester is less competitive to get into than the fall semester.

I hope so too! But the Canelink is just to monitor how things are going, because after you submitted the application to NursingCAS you won’t be able to upload anything else. You’re going to have to send everything directly to UM.

So for me and NursingCas to get verified it roughly took about 2 weeks if you did it manually, if you spent the money for them to do it for you then it gets verified quicker (don't know why).

Me personally I think they do it like that so people can spend a $60 for no reason. First of all you already paid them $50 to submit the application and they still want more money. I added everything on my own. I’ll wait for another week for my transcripts to be verified.

@Mr.lucky1 I wouldn't stress it. The application process is a long one (refer to the earlier threads for insight) and stressful one but at least Miami gives you more time than most to apply which is a plus. Once it gets verified then everything will be in motion for ya.
