University of Miami 2020

Anyone applied for University of Miami this year?

Based on previous threads, the 2nd round of decisions for anyone who applied mid-May and on should be sent out some time soon. I applied May 9th and received my final letter of recommendation on May 21st. I received an email a couple of weeks ago advising my application was ready for review.

I just received an email from NursingCAS notifying me that my transcripts have been verified.

Welp, just received my second notification that my application is still on hold...

Does it mention why the application is on hold? Could it be that nursingcas just hasn’t verified your transcripts yet?

@asd456 This is the email I received. My transcripts were verified back in May about a week after I applied.

I wanted to update you on the status of your Accelerated BSN application for Spring 2020. At this time, your application remains on hold but the admission committee will resume their review as soon as they are able. We very much appreciate your understanding during the review process. I will definitely be in touch with you once I receive any updates on your application status.

I just got off the phone with admissions, so they thought I failed one class and also had 4 prerequisites to finish. I called and told them that one of the classes I took, in which they overlooked and didn't mark as completed, so they acknowledged that class so that brought down the the prerequisites to 3. Also they misinterpreted a class and marked that down as failed, in which I am currently enrolled, in so she was able to rescind that grade to get me hopefully off "hold" status...that was my situation lol.

I would call and ask for clarification because I was able to correct some issues.

That is a very vague email.. what does that even mean?! Haha. Keep us posted on what admissions says if you end up calling them for clarification.

Maybe a bit different but conveys the same message.
