University of Miami Hospital Nurse Residency 2020

Hey all!

Wanted to start this thread to see if anyone had any information on the 2020 University of Miami Hospital Nurse Residency Program. I haven't been able to find much info on the program but am told they give preference to their UM graduates.... I went ahead and applied even though I'm not a UM graduate and landed an interview at the end of the week somehow! If anyone has any additional info on the hiring process pleassssse share.

Hi! I was looking into this program as well. Do they offer new grad ICU positions as part of the Residency program?

Yes, the majority of the people in the program are new grads. It is usually a panel interview so prepare yourself for multiple questions from different departments.

Hi, Do you remember what type of questions they asked?

They asked questions regarding your time in nursing school, nurse priority questions and your schedule

Hi I have found very little information online about the UM residency. Do they offer day or night positions? Are they okay with new grads requesting a day position? I know that Baptist is strictly nights for new grads
