University of Miami FNP 2016

Hello! I am wondering if anyone has been admitted to the part time FNP program at UM. I applied this week & I am looking forward to hearing back from them in regards to my application. I would like to know how long to wait after submitting your application through Nursing CAS ? Any information regarding the admission process and the part time program in general would be greatly appreciated

Hey nany90, I applied to adult gero primary care. what about you?

Hi everyone! I applied to the FNP program months ago and haven't heard anything yet. I see some of you mentioned interviews, but you all applied to different programs than me, so I'm trying to not get discouraged. Anyone apply to the FNP program??? I'm taking it as a good sign I haven't yet been rejected, but really don't know what to think!

Hi coffeeismylife! I am in the same boat as you! Just crossing my fingers that we hear something soon!! I applied to FNP as well! Haven't heard anything yet at all

Josie9411,

Me too! Havent heard anything yet, although this is literally our 3rd week after interviews, I would say 1 or 2 more weeks before we hear anything.

Best of luck

Cmgg78, have you gotten called for an interview yet?? I haven't!! I'm getting nervous. No rejection letters in the mail either. Does anyone have some insight?? Thanks :)

Meant to tag you in the above post!

hey coffeeismylife! I received an email and was set up for an interview last Thursday. I'm sorry I didn't post I have honestly been all over the place with work. It was a very quick interview with a clinical question at the end. They want to know why UM and they ask for a 5 year plan and what the role of the NP is. He said that it should be around 4 weeks to hear back. I really hope you hear from them soon. Don't be discouraged! I've read a million threads and they interview for a good couple of weeks it seems like. Hopefully we all get in !

I was accepted into their acute care NP program today. I think that we might all be in the same class for the first semester. Both programs show 601 and 612 as the first courses. Congrats everyone.
