Mayrod, I, like you had a previous non-nursing bachelor. I applied in 2013 to UM and didn't get it. I was told since its very competitive, mostly everybody else had BSN PLUS nursing experience. I had to go back and get BSN and nursing experience. I now will start in January to the Adult-Gerontology FNP!!. I wanted to share this with you so you get an idea the road ahead of you if you decide to pursue the FNP program. Best of luck.

For those asking about employment, I am currently with an agency (Parallon) working Per diem in various HCA hospitals in south miami (kendal, mercy, jackson).
