University of Miami FNP Program 2014

I wanted to know if anyone has been contacted by or had an interview regarding the UM FNP starting fall 2014?

I had my packet in by may and just heard from them a little over 3 weeks ago and did the interview, no news yet:( hopefully soon!

Good luck to those interviewing this Wednesday! The interview was very laid back. They asked basic questions like why a FNP masters and what your nursing background is. Hopefully we hear back soon in regards to admission!

I turned my packet in around June and heard back around the same time as you. They did take their sweet time to contact for the interview lol

Thanks for the responses, everyone! The NursingCAS website is the most confusing part of the application to me. They're still verifying my GPA. I'm assuming UM doesn't even technically look at your application until the GPA has been verified by the NursingCAS?

simple beauty how was your interview? I think maybe they are finishing off the interviews this week so that hopefully come October we know who has been admitted *wishful thinking*

Hi everyone,

I also just applied for the 2015 Spring FNP (part-time). The last of my transcripts was received on the 24th and I know NursingCAS still has to calculate my GPA, which can apparently take weeks. Since the deadline for the program is October 1st, I'm not sure if I made the deadline because all of my information required to submit and payment is there or if I will miss the deadline because my GPA presumably won't be calculated by then (that is the only thing that is missing). I might be a little late to the party seeing as a lot of people already have interviews, but I am looking forward to seeing all the "I GOT ACCEPTED" posts :)

I got in too!!! Crazy they want a $1500 deposit in 15 days! But I'm excited:))

Well they actually extended the deadline. And NursingCas did not take there time processing my paperwork. They actually processed it a few days after I submitted everything. They usually send something to your email letting you know everything went through or you can give them s call.

Any pointers for the interview? How did you guys dress for the interview? Suit and tie okay for a male or too formal?
