University of Miami FNP Program 2014

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone has been contacted by or had an interview regarding the UM FNP starting fall 2014?

It was very informal and relaxed:) the guy before me was just wearing dress pants and a button up shirt but I did suit so I think either would be fine. Good luck:)

Hey Amores, are you planning on working night shift throughout the program ? Just curious. I work 7pm-7am 3 nights a week

I was accepted to the January 2015 start date too! Has anyone started a facebook page? It would probably be a lot easier to communicate that way.

I definitely plan on working night shift while in the program. I work 7:30p-8a and I actually just switched to a weekend spot on my unit where I'm obligated to work two weekend nights and an additional day of my choosing. So I think this new schedule will work best for me. I have a few friends who have completed the program and they've worked throughout the entire process. It's challenging but it's possible. The only thing I think that makes me hesitant is that I'm a NICU nurse. So a lot of my adult interactions haven't been put to use since nursing school. So i definitely need to get reacquainted with the big folks. Congrats to all who were admitted so far and good luck to those still waiting ^_^

Interviewed a few weeks ago but still nothing yet. Thought I did good with the interview but I was nervous. Anyone els feel the same?

I don't know if my previous post went through but I contacted the director of admissions & she said my file is pending review. Meanwhile everyone I know got their acceptance letters, registration & orientation days. So I don't know what to make of it. Tomorrow will be a month since my interview. So it's a bit frustrating not knowing & just waiting. I guess I'll keep everyone posted.

I would say just be positive. I was told another round of decisions were made this week. So hopefully we will find out soon.
