University of Miami Accelerated BSN spring 2018

Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!

Oh my, I have so much anxiety for this upcoming week.

It's May and we all received our emails saying our applications were under review! Do you guys think we'll know this week?

Is anyone else frantically checking their canelink? Mine still says incomplete by the way, but I've read on previous forums that people have gotten accepted without the status changing to complete.

I check canelink periodically. I'm assuming we won't hear for another few weeks. Good news is we're ahead of the flock, most people wait till closer to the deadline to apply so there's plenty of spots for us

Hey there! I guess I'll be the only one to answer this lol. I have a 4.0 in my prereqs. I ended up taking several other science classes as they were prereqs for a different school. I just need to finish Micro, which I'm currently sitting in now lol. My undergrad GPA was a 3.3. I have a military background and am hoping to direct commission as a nurse in the US Navy

Hey! Update here: I just spoke with someone at the UM office in regards to where to send transcripts for finished prereqs, and was instructed to send them directly to the UM Nursing School instead of NursingCAS. I had also inquired about when decisions will be sent out, and was told the first batch were going to start being mailed this week :)

No, I am starting nutrition next Monday, May 15 at BC but I have a MSc and a BSc already.

Hey Check your student portal! Letters were sent today regarding first batch of admissions! I see my acceptance letter was sent, I can view it electronically! Check it out!

I also received the email from UM's Admissions Committee! But I never got an email with my Canelink. Did I do something wrong?! Helpppp haha
