Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!
My friend last year told me the class size is 70 but they accept more because they take into account people who turn down the acceptance offer and people who are unable to fullfill all the requirements on the acceptance letter.
13. How many BSN Accelerated Students does the School of Nursing & Heath Studies accept every year?Approximately 70 students are admitted each summer and spring.
Maybe they are accepting more people? I wonder what the class sizes are like then...
I'm hoping someone can help answer a few questions I have. This is long winded but bear with me. I submitted my application last week on July 25th, it took SO long to have my course work entered (I paid to have them do it), I called nursingcas yesterday and spoke to someone and they said as long as my transcripts are received and my application is submitted by the deadline (which it was) then I'm fine but I didn't realize that after the coursework being entered my transcripts would have to be verified! SO finally today, my transcripts are ready for review, I submit everything and now my transcripts are being verified and this could take 10-12 business days! I'm starting to worry that all of this wont be done in the two week buffer time they give to get everything else in.
Does it really take 10-12 business days to the transcripts verified?!
If it takes too long does that mean all of this was for nothing and my application wont be seen by advisors? Nursingcas has been the biggest pain and I wish we were just dealing directly with UM. Any help or advice would be appreciated! I'm feeling pretty stressed
It is quite possible they have because I have not accepted the offer and I know others who have not either. They most likely have people who have already turned down the offer as well. They most likely send out way over 70 acceptance offers. I don't think they will give Gram false information.
@Midtz: Definitely. Why I am a bit confused why they would tell @Gram Stain that there were 60 spots still available. Are they saying 60 people have yet to accept admissions?
Hi guysssssss! So I just found this page because I was wondering what the reviews for the program were like, being anxious of course. I recently got accepted and though I am excited I wish I had more time to make my decision :-/ just because I wanted to see if I got into other programs I applied to. But I'm so excited to hopefully meet all you ladies.
Btw... Does anyone know how much the compliance package we have to complete costs?

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Unfortunately, my transcripts took almost three weeks to appear and I've just started the verification process. From my conversation with NursingCas customer service, they said it's taking closer to two weeks for verification, and there is a queue you have to enter for this to happen. However, he said if it gets close to the end of the buffer period, we should call them and see if we can find a solution.
