Hello everyone, I just wanted to start this thread for anyone interesting or planning on applying to UM for spring 2015. I am finishing up the pre-requisites I need...doing micro class and lab. So far those are the only things I know I have to take. I'm extremely nervous, mainly because of the waiting game to see if I'm accepted or not.
I had to take over class, so I am not too happy about that either, so that also makes me a little down.
Also when I called the other day, someone said they are changing the application process, did anyone else hear that information?
Are you guys finish with all your pre-requisites?
Do you know how much repeating a class puts you in the hole for not getting accepted?
Im a bit confussed now, I recieved the acceptence email from canlink, and package via mail. Also, I paid the 300.00 dollars, but now I hear there is another package supposedly enroute from the nursing school which contains another 500.00 deposit. That they say has not been sent yet so maybe I counted my chickens before they hatched. Anyone have any idea as to the process?
When I went to an information session earlier this year, around March (before the Nursing CAS system was even an idea), they said that as long as you met the requirements, the sooner you got your application in, the better. They didn't openly say they are doing rolling admissions but it sure seems like that's the case...
Hi albi926...I paid the deposit to the school and didn't know that SONHS is charging us another deposit? Did the nursing school tell you this? I guess first day of classes is January 12th but I don't know much else and haven't received any correspondence from the school of nursing yet
Congrats to all of those who have been accepted and good luck to everyone who applied! I received my acceptance letter a couple of days ago!! If you check your canelink account under the communications tab it will show whether your decision was mailed out or not.
I was finally able to get my cane link fixed and the status of my application says it is incomplete. Did anybody who had that same message figure out what this means?
When I called the nursing school to inquire if my acceptence was for the University meant that I was accepted into the program, I told her I had paid the 300.00 and she asked if the 500.00 for sonhs had been paid, when I said I had not, she told me the sonhs was going to send out bulk mail leter this month, but could not say if i was in or not. I guess I am just a bit antsy and jumped the gun when I received the first package in the mail.
So I never got a phone call or email but received a congrats you are accepted package in the mail today (10/01) dated Sept 19 and I have to accept two weeks from the date of the letter paying the deposit. . Surprised they called me so many times for other things but didn't call to say hey welcome ? So I got until Friday to pay deposit whoa one day?
My letter from the University specifically stated that I was accepted to the Accelerated Nursing Program 2015. Is that what everybody else had on their acceptance letter?
