I started this thread for those who've been accepted or are waiting to hear about acceptance to the UM's Accelerated BSN program that begins Fall 2010. I'm excited to meet my future classmates!
What is everyone doing about housing?
Financial aid/loans?
For non-locals: are you planning on visiting?
What is everyone's backgrounds?
JoeNurseRN,
Thank you for the info! I just sent in my application and am waiting to hear back. I originally graduated with a Bachelors in 2006 with a low GPA In the fall of 2010 I started back to school to do my BSN pre-reqs. Since starting school again my grades have been very good all A's and only 1 B+. I am worried that my prior grades will impact my acceptance into nursing school.
Congrats on finishing the program, and finding a great job!

Intense program. Just graduated in August of 2011. They accept around 50 to 60 students. I had a 3.18 and I got accepted. Also try to arrange a meeting with the person who is in charge of the accelerated program. It is good when they see u! It definitely helped me with getting in the program. I ended up with a 3.91 GPA in the program....not easy....but not impossible! Good luck!
