University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

Hey guys! Does anyone know anything about financial aid? Will we not hear until after we secure our spot? I got into a few other programs and was set on going to one of them but it’s more expensive and I couldn’t get a private loan for that amount. Any advice/ how are others affording the ABSN? TIA!

It seems like we don’t hear until the first week or so of April. Most people use private loans, as the school doesn’t give much aid.

Hi everyone!

I’m new to this thread, but I just found out I got into UM! I’m super excited to attend a school I never even dreamed I’d get into. But I’m also very nervous in terms of how to afford it & life, in general, with how intense it’s going to be. Anyone else? Haha! I look forward to meeting you guys!

If you don’t Mind me asking.. what was your GPA? I haven’t gotten in and I’m so nervous as to why I haven’t heard back from them ?

Honestly, my GPA is nothing to write home about. I have a 3.4 overall & I can’t imagine my science pre-req GPA is good either because I have 2 C’s to factor in there LOL. I just know I poured my heart & soul into the essay! Have you checked your canelink? I never got an email & decided to check today out of curiosity & that’s how I found out

That so good I’m happy for you! And I just checked and nothing it still says completed ? my friend didn’t get in last year till ending March so I’m still being hopeful... and trust me I check cane link every day ?

hi everyone! congrats once again to everyone that got in! I’ve been checking my canelink account everyday and I got accepted today! I’m sooOooO excited but worried about financial aid since I would have just graduated from FIU and used up four years of FAFSA and my Bright Futures scholarship. see you all this Summer!! ?
