University of Miami ABSN Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope it's not too early to start a thread for University of Miami Summer 2020 ABSN cycle but I have already submitted my application and want to see who else has as well. It is my first time applying but I hope to get in because it seems like a top notch school. I would be relocating from California if so. Hopefully we can all stay updated here!

Has anyone with their application on hold heard anything back? Mine has been on hold since early January. I called to ask about it and all they would tell me was that if/when there is a change in the status they will let me know. It’s been so stressful waiting so long!

Hi! My application is in hold too but it says completed on canelink. What’s your GPA/experience. Maybe they’re waiting to see if we match the requirements to get into the program? Or working from high Gpas to lower gpas. My friend last year got accepted late March so we’ll see.

My GPA is 3.4 and prereq is 3.5. All my prereqs are done and I have over 1500 hours of patient care experience as a PCA. I meet all their requirements so I don’t know why I my application is on hold. Mine has been marked complete in canelink since December. Hopefully we hear from them by the end of this month.

I just got an interview request. As anyone had their interview yet? Any tips and pointers would go along way and greatly appreciated. I am a nervous wreck .

I didn't have an interview!? I got accepted back in February, so maybe now that it's later on they're doing interviews?

I replied to the wrong post. Have you done your interview at USM. I got my interview request this morning. I really would appreciate any tip.

I have been on hold since January too. I called someone at nursing program and she said that I should hear back before April 1st. I have also checked 2019 thread and some people got accepted at the end of March so just keeping my hopes alive. Goodluck!

Hi! I just got in today, applied in November. So I was really nervous about being on hold for so long just like some of y’all are.

If I go, I’ll be coming from Cali so I just have to figure out housing things. How’s that been going for everybody?

I'm actually from Miami so if you need help on where to stay or what your price range is I can tell you where to look into!

I just got accepted to UM today as well!! I just checked the student center and it says admitted ????????

We have the facebook group UM ABSN Summer 2020 Cohort (the link is somewhere in this thread)! Everyone has been finding roommates & discussing stuff there.
