Hi. Is there anyone applying to the University of Memphis nursing program for Spring '14?

Thanks. Yes it says accepted on the nursing school applications system. Also the graduate school sent me an acceptance letter as well.

I would certainly rest a littler easier! Waiting on the letter shouldn't be as stressful now! congrats and welcome to Tiger nation!

I too applied for the FNP program at University of Memphis. I completed their RN-BSN program in August (also have a BS in another area, so I had already applied to begin the FNP program for Spring 14). I too saw that my application changed from Under Review to Accepted. And I too called the nursing office & asked if I was accepted to the FNP program. (Reason being, I have a co-worker who applied last semester to their NP program. She was told she did not meet requirements for the NP program but could enroll in the Educator or Informatics program. Needless to say, she did not)! Anyway, I was told by the graduate admissions secretary that letters would be sent 3 weeks from the Oct 1st deadline, as stated in her email. She did not sound too happy about being asked, but I am sure this must be common!! I am still hoping to receive a letter by Friday or Saturday. I plan to take courses PT if accepted. I work three 12hrs shifts, and plan to take the entire 5 yrs to complete the program!! :)

When did your status change to accepted?

I first noticed it the day I received an email from U of M saying that I was accepted into GRAD school, but not necessarily nursing. That was on Oct 9th.

I wonder how many applicants they had & how many they take each semester?

That's a good question, I wish I knew. I also wish mine would say accepted instead on under review...ughhhhhh

msgurl that is when I noticed that my status changed as well. I also call to confirm with the school of nursing and she didn't sound to happy at that time either and told me the same.

I had a phone meeting with the director of the program when I was getting information on transferring to U of M and she said that they were looking to accept more students this semester then they normally do but she didn't say exactly how many

Mine is still under review as well. I just called and the person handling msn applications is in a meeting right now.

I don't know how they are looking at the applications.

Keeping fingers crossed!!
