All I can say is, extremly overpriced education. I checked into their RN-BSN program and the cost was ridiculous. I am now in the RN-BSN program at IUPUI...much cheaper and will get me the same degree.

I met with them, I second that they were ridiculous, but then so was Anderson University. For me, its Ivy Tech or IUPUI.

Friend's hubby went there for business degree. Third on the overpriced opinion. I otherwise have no specific knowledge of the program.
I called and talked to someone in admissions and not only are they extremely overpriced but, they were also very rude and snotty.. I think I am better off looking into other schools..
New mom,
Have you looked into Marion college. They do not have a wait list. It appears fairly easy to get in. I just cannot justify the cost, as they are also expensive. You might call them as they have informational meetings about once a month. I am still trying to decide whether to get ADN or accelerated BSN since I already have a previous degree. These are such tough decisions!!!!!
Hi. I did apply to marian and I was accepted but, I am just nervous over the cost of it and how we would pay for it.. I am seriously thinking about just going anyways.. Do you know if it is easier to get into the ASN or the BSN program there..
I attended one of Marion's informational meetings. They told us that there is much more competition for the ADN degree. That makes sense as the cost of the BSN is greater (and longer to get). They also have a fast track accelerated BSN. I am absolutely torn apart over making these decisions. I waver back and forth. I think I want to go ahead and just get the darn BSN, because I worry that I will never go back to school otherwise. Plus, there are so many opportunities with the BSN. I mean what if one wants to become a NP eventually? I don't think I would, but I am old enough to know that one never knows what one will decide around the next curve!!! You are very young, and I am guessing that you are 26 from your screen name. What if you decide to become a CRNA some day? It is an exploding field, and will become more so in the future. Anyway, I hope we can just make decisions and live with them :)
I think I am just going to go ahead and go to marian college and get my bsn and just plan on it taking me 6 years.. (hopefully not!) I honestly think in the long run that I will be alot happier that I did that.. I called marian and they told me I need to resubmit my application. I know its expensive but, your education is something that no one can ever take away from you.. Good luck on your decision..

I will be attending the U of I in the fall and was wondering what their clinicals were like. Are the instructors decent? I know it's an expensive college but I look at it as I can't put a price on my education.

Well, im currently going to marian college in a couple days, for my ADN and i was so shocked at the cost. It was about $9,000 per semester. totally rediculous, but what i feel is it may cost less at other places, who knows how long it will take to get in the nursing program elsewhere. At ivytech it is way cheaper, BUT, there waiting list is soooooooo long. here in indy, they accept about 100 (lpn and asn total together) per year, out of 500+ that apply, thats insane, you need to get all A's on your prereq's and almost 100 on your teas test. almost impossible, if your that smart why not go get your doctor degree:lol2: .... lol.... anyway im staying at marian college, it is a heck of alot easier to get in, pretty much as long as i keep a 2.5 i will get accepted into the nursing program.......anyways good luck.

How often does Marian admit? Do they admit Fall and Spring. Also, they say they have a fast track. Does that mean they offer nursing classes in the summer? Or is that just for second degree students? I am, also, in search of a school where I don't have to be on a waiting list. I understand it is expensive, however, I have to do this by all means necessary.
