Hi all! I have been lurking for several years trying to take in as much info as possible. I am currently an LPN, licensed for about 9 months. I am trying to decide what my next educational step should be. I got my LPN at a tech school, that just recently started a bridge program. It is not currently accredited through the NLN, however in the informational session, they said they were working on it. The program is a year long, and they have even formed a contract with a Univ. To accept RN-BSN students. My other option would be Indiana State Online. I want my RN like now, but a lot of jobs say must be a graduate from a NLN or CCNE program. I also have a 3 year old and a infant that I need to help support. I could do the tech school, but would have to work off shifts! Any advice or input to help me weigh my options would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Actually, you can go on to Indiana Wesleyan to bridge RN-BSN.

OP, I was looking for hospital sites on Wed, Check out Tanner Healthcare about 30 min west of ATL. Northside.org had a couple and Emory had some clinic positions. Also, checkout agapecenter.org it has a listing of all the georgia hospitals. Just visit there websites!! Hope this helps!

Hello, I moved from Georgia to Indiana, to finish nursing school because I have a great support system. Upon grad. I will be returning to Georgia, specifically the Atlanta area. There are some hospitals in the are that are currently hiring LPN's. Try Northside Hospital, it had a couple LPN positions. Also, Emory had some pain clinic openings, and Tanner had several LPN positions. There are west of Atlanta towards BHAM. But from ATL metro, its about a 35 minute drive. Yeah my fiance held me during my epidural. He made it through the procedure, but then he had to sit down immediately. I can understand why a CRNA could be worried about a suit. Being that everybody sues these days. However, as a pt. I was comforted by my fiance being able to physically support me.

OK I went to the informational meeting for MedTech College yesterday, and it seemed okay. The staff was very nice. They still have no wait list. You have to take the PSB. I am taking mine on the 19th....... They said that you will graduate with an Associates of Applied Science.............how can that be you ask? They said because of the number of credit hours they can, so that is what they offer. I could really care less if it was a diploma or a degree. Just as long as I can take that NCLEX, I will just about do whatever!! Wish me luck in the process!!

Did anyone apply to Chamberlain/Deaconess for the online program starting in March? Many have read, and yet I get no response.........................Please someone share with me!!

I cannot even focus on my daily tasks due to the fact, I want this so bad!! I applied to CCN for March 2007, I just wanted to see who else applied? Reply and we can pray together!!LOL:smokin:

I see many people have read..............but no reply. The answer is YES, Indiana does recognize Deaconess/Chamberlain School of Nursing ASN online. I emailed the IN BON and they said YES!!! I applied today for the March term, but they will not start looking at apps until Nov. 1st. And the wait is on!!!............................................:monkeydance:

OMG!!! I love allnurses.com. I have been looking for a thread on this info for awhile. And then I thought...............Google it, and here it is. Well, a little background...............I majored in Biology for 2 years then I started pre-reqs for nursing school. Thought maybe this isn't what I want. 3 years later I am a MA and an EMT. Nursing is what I want, need, and desire. Anyhow, I had a little girl July 19,2006, and am now ready to get back in it. In Indiana waitlists and school costs are ridiculous. I just cannot wait to start the nursing sequence. I have to have A&P I and II, Micro, Chem( already completed), and a level 100 Nursing class completed by the end of Spring '07. I know its going to b hard work. But u all have encouraged that it is definitely doable. Any feedback on how you did it, would help greatly. Thanks and Good Blessings!!

Has anyone took A&P I and II together? If so, what is your take on it? I have had some A&P in an abbreviated diploma program. I am working under a tight deadline to be able to enter the BSN program in the FALL. Any feedback anyone?

How often does Marian admit? Do they admit Fall and Spring. Also, they say they have a fast track. Does that mean they offer nursing classes in the summer? Or is that just for second degree students? I am, also, in search of a school where I don't have to be on a waiting list. I understand it is expensive, however, I have to do this by all means necessary.
