Hi,Did you interview with UT for the accelerated track or the regular track for UT-HSC?
I interviewed for the regular track for UT. I didn't apply for the accelerated track for UT. I figured that if I can get into the Spring 2011 semester, I will graduate at the same time as the Accelerated program (at the end of spring 2012), since the regular track doesn't get summers off.

Do you know what the cost of the UTHSC program is? I actually did not know they even had a 2nd Degree accelerated program. It says on the website that the deadline for summer start is Dec 1. So, from what you say above...it's not 3 consecutive semesters? It's summer then Spring and Summer or something?

The cost is about $15,000 for the entire program for UTHSC. No, it IS 3 consecutive semesters for the accelerated program (Summer, Fall, Spring ~ 12 months) for UTHSC. I was saying that it is also consecutive semesters for the regular track (Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring ~18 months). Since they both graduate at the same time, I figured I would take my time and just apply for the regular track.
This is getting off topic. If you have any more questions, just PM me; I'll be happy to answer any questions!
The application has a "to do" list that lets you know what is lacking. The only piece of information in my to do list is the UHV email reminder. However, my application status says "INCOMPLETE". Could I be missing something, or will it say incomplete until it is denied or accepted?
Thanks.
I don't know what a good average is however I have noticed from other programs that they use a variety of documents to determine approval. They look at TEAS scores and GPA but also applications and other things.
I have known people who have been accepted into major nursing programs with lower GPA's and test scores but did well on interviews and writing samples. So overall I think it is a mixture of things.
Good luck!!
This message is for Avat. I am sorry I am late in applying. I usually get an email alert when people reply. You had to submit documents to both places Nursing CAS and UH Victoria to get in the program.
The following message is for everyone...
I thought noone applied to my message. Anyway I am not sure if I will get in for the Spring. I have a 3.7 GPA with repeated courses but I notice Nursing CAS does not average repeated courses making my gpa significantly lower than I thought it was. I will have to apply to a nursing school that doesnt use that system. My TEAS score wasnt horrible but not great either so I really dont expect to get in at this point. I will retake the TEAS early next year and I will probably apply for TWU or Prarie View's program. Did anyone else notice a signifant difference in their GPA. Some of my grades go all the way back to 1997 and they averaged all of those into my current GPA. I am totally bummed about this guys!!!
