Hi! I am also applying for the program for Spring 2011! I am a little confused about what you were saying. I have sent my transcripts to UHV Admissions and Records. I am still working on the Nursing CAS application and I have not gotten far. I have to submit my transcripts to them to? Is it transcripts only or everything we already sent to UHV Admissions and Records?

Is UH-Victoria anyone's first choice out of the nursing programs you've applied to?

Anyway, I submitted all my documents last Friday and now I wait. Good luck to everyone!

Just a question to keep this thread active. We should be finding out if we get interviews soon. If you get accepted into UH-Victoria, will you choose the Sugarland or Cinco Ranch location, and why? Is one location better than the other in terms of classes or clinicals?

I plan to go to the cinco ranch location simply because I can basically walk to it from where my parents live lol.

I would prefer the Cinco Ranch campus. It is my understanding that they choose the top students that make the program and then they assign you to the one that is the most convenient. But, let's say the top 50 students all live in Sugarland....however many they allow at Sugarland will get that campus and then the others will have to go to Cinco. So, I am assuming that they try and make it convenient but they may not be able to satisfy everyone. I don't care....I just want this program. It's my #1 choice over the ADN program at Lone Star CyFair. I've alreay been accepted there but am holding out hope that I get UH. It is more expensive but half as long and I will have a BSN vs ADN. Has anyone heard how hard this program is? Do you really think you can't work and do it? Even part time? Just curious....

Anyone heard when we might get notification? And, if we get invited to the interview, is it a sure thing that we will be accepted or is it REALLY an interview for a spot? I had heard somewhere that if you get invited to the interview, you are pretty much in....they even measure you for your scrubs there. I am just anxious because I have to do registration and orientation for my #2 school on Dec. 2nd and don't want to go through all that if I will know by then if I am in. Anybody heard anything?

Was just talking to someone in the advising department about something they needed for my application and found out that they had over 200 applicants for the program this semester! UGGHHH - I hope I get in!!!

In the FAQ packet I received from the info session, it says that invited applicants will be asked to participate in a group interview and will be notified during the second week of November. I thought they were going to notify us the second week of October, but I must have been confused. From my understanding, an interview does NOT guarantee acceptance into the program.

Also, you don't find out if you get accepted until the second week of December.

Are you applying anywhere else? How did you do on the TEAS?

Yeah, it's a long time to wait to find out if you get accepted. I'm also applying to UT-HSC, and to TWU. My number one choice is UT, then UH-V, then TWU. I did very well on the TEAS, and since TWU only goes by grades and test score (no interview), I'm pretty sure I got in there (will find out officially in November). I interviewed with UT, but don't find out until the first week of November. If I don't get accepted into UT, then I'll have to accept and orient with TWU while waiting for UH-V's response.
