For vaccines- I took the list to my PCP. First she tested titers to see if I needed any. Then I got the vaccines I needed thru her office. She said she gets this request all the time so she knew exactly what to do. I'd recommend getting titer to see if you are immune first, and then get the vaccine if needed.

Also if I remember right TB test is a yearly requirement so if you do it now it would expire next Sep and you'd need another one in the middle of your clinicals. So I plan to do it mid Nov.

For the drug test one- I uploaded the signed form and it's now showing complete. So I think thats all we need to do!

Has anybody ordered their uniform yet? Are the uniforms something we have to purchase through Medical Uniforms? I know the uniform for the health assessment lab (top and shorts) and the top is probably specifically embroidered or has the school logo but are the pants and lab coat embroidered or something too?

I was wondering about that as well. Are the black crocs without holes acceptable?

No I remember during the clinical policy session the professor said it has to be leather bc it’s the most durable or something like that. The dress code policy doc also states it must be black leather.

Is there a list of all the supplies we need to get before class starts (shoes, stethoscope, etc)? If not I hope they send out one soon ?

When I called the uniform place, they have all of those available but I'm not sure if that's the best place to get them. I would think it would be very expensive.

I called and asked for pricing and the guy told me that all the uniform comes out to be $190, but previous students have bought other supplies including extra uniforms totaling for almost $500-$600.

Selling my school uniform for $100 top and bottom!! Top is a medium and bottoms are a large! You do NOT have to purchase from the university store. I can try to get other people to sell also this is about to get SO expensive for y’all!! Also selling my black clove shoes for clinical for $50 as well as a lot of other things. I listed them on the facebook page

You have to have the health assessment ones with the UH logo on it!! I’m selling my health assessment stuff for $40!! Top is a medium and bottoms are a large!! Do NOT buy more than one uniform or one than more health assessment you won’t need it!! Be smart with money and don’t overspend bc y’all are about to have to pay for A LOT!!
