University of Houston (UH) 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2023

Hi everyone! I didn't see a thread for the Spring 2023 class for UH Sugarland's 2nd Degree program so thought I'd go ahead and start it off. I currently have a Bachelor's in Marketing from UH and would love to hear from others who are applying as well.

Same! I also wish there was a complete list of supplies we’ll need. I’ve already spent so much on just the vaccines and uniforms alone haha

Hello! Anyone here have info regarding the scrubs we wear on certain days? I was under the impression that we wear black on lab days (mondays), and can wear any colored scrubs on non clincal days (Tuesday/Thursday). Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Hi everyone! Are there any out-of-state students in the UH cohort and if so, can anyone share their experiences with the Texas Govt requirement in the Texas Core Curriculum?

I completed my first degree out of state. Texas Government is going to be required for any BSN program in Texas. I completed mine through a local (houston) community college prior to applying.

Has anyone who applied for the 2024 application cycle heard back regarding the September interview?

Last year we got the email inviting us to interview on 8/25/23 and the interview was on 9/9/22. If they haven't sent the invitations out yet it should be soon.

Thank you! Do you know if they send you an email either way like one if you do get invited and one if you didn't make it to the interview?

I wish there was a chat for the 2024 application cycle! Glad a few people have used this one it seems at least! I am hoping they are sending more out in waves.
