Hello ? can't wait to meet you and everyone else!  Do you mind sharing when we would receive our schedule, based on your experience last year?  I'm so excited and anxious about planning my days when school starts.

Yes I've drafted alittle response for everyone but far as the schedule if it was like last year it's basically was..

Monday - school 8-1 zoom 2-4 

Tuesday - lab 8-5 

Wed - class 8-10 lab 11-4

Thrusday school 12-3 

Fri/sat/sun 

but then Fridays was Clinicals I think 2-3 weeks in so then you would only get two days off

Hi everyone my name is Wesley helm I was in last years class . I'll be joining you for the 502 portion of the semester and contuine on with Spring and Summer. I took a LOA 

 

So where did I do began..... 

first things first .... This program will be your life for the next couple semesters especially this one. 18 credits. Classes everyday , lab and Clinical. The first things I can say is that we made a discord that had this layout (which I'll include ). We definitely stick together as a class. We shared notes. Always reminded everyone of when things was due. Helped out in class with quizzes especially some classes allow groups to take in class quizzes. ( everyone worked as a team ) we always exchange notes study guides in this discord to help out each other and the discord was place to be playful bond and enjoy each other's presence and built on trust. 

 

We as a class def bonded ( very key for success) when we did have time. Went out for drinks did beach days ( first meeting everyone was at the beach  to break the ice  highly recommend ) went out and did fun activities had dinners at peoples homes. Took photos for memories of our time together and enjoy life when we could . A lot of us did go out more than others ! But hey it's a balance becuase you'll be stress overwhelmed and sleep deprived. 

 

I can tell you that clicks will be made it's human nature but we are all in it together. The content will be brutal. Long days studying studying studying. 

 

The two main courses is patho and pharm which was the hardest. A lot of my chorot had medical experience and some didn't so the ones did really helped ones that didn't for labs and clincals.  some had bio chem and organic chem majors and other really good test takers so speak up now on how to take exams LOL - damn them so smart LOL. 

 

You're other classes 501- lots of busy work so get ready to write. 

504 - good teacher good content 

505- alittle meh but doable

502- patho - dry but good content 

503 - pharm - great teacher 

 

Most teachers will curve exams but 502 doesn't so gotta be on top of it. 

 

Note : it might feel alittle disorganized at first which it is from staff at times. But we pulled together to get it organized. We did vote for student council ( voice for the class ) so that's a must. 

 

I'm not to sure if marren will add me to you're guys email list but if she doesn't please add me [email protected]

 

Also I've created a group on facebook to

Get everyone started. I can start on making the discord once we get everyone that's accepted.

Hi, I have also been selected as an alternative candidate. What program did you apply to? Have you also heard back yet? I believe the decision to accept was 1/19/24.

It's just kind of frustrating since I got into a mainland school and could potentially start in the Summer, but I live on Oahu and moving is going to be very expensive for me ?. I don't even know if it's worth waiting for....

Hi! Just UHM. I do have a 2 y/o child, so I definitely can't move away from home. This was the first time I applied for GEPN. Did you apply anywhere else? Good luck!
