University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Published

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

Listen, I think there's only been like 3 or 4 people that have heard so far. So...assume the majority of us have not.

But,  for the hell of it: Full time PMHNP submitted on 2/16 and still waiting. Like someone else stated, I reached out to Mailing and was told that decisions are being sent out in batches and we'll hear by the first week of June.

God I feel desperate at this point for a morsel of information from UF. Just a crumb. I almost want to receive a denial today more than I want to wait another day for a response. End the torture and pain please God

Also still waiting! PNP primary care part time.

At this point may the odds be ever in your favor. I am still waiting as most of us are.

There are still schools open in Nursing CAS which is the next option if I don’t get into the PT PMHNP program.

For those of you who have been accepted, I would like to personally congratulate you!

In other news, I played with cows today and it was amazing!

Well, I was hoping if I wasn’t checking my email constantly I would have received something. Not the case today LOL. Oh well ?

Same but for PNP-AC FT

For my FT peeps, are y’all still gonna be working during it? I work 3 12s a week and was planning on going down to 2 if I get into my FT track.

Specializes in Ortho, Cardiac Step-Down, Neuro/Medical ICU.

I am hoping to still work full time until the semesters with clinicals start but I've already warned my husband that if it's too much, I plan on working only part time...we'll see what happens

I plan on working 3 12s too but I’m nervous about doing that with FT school too!

IDK why but I have a feeling another batch of decisions will be released today...
