University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Published

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

Ugh I wanna know!! I swear between trying to find a house and waiting on these decisions I'm on thin ice here!! I only applied to this school, which is so unlike me, so I'm feeling a little discouraged of course with them extending the decisions timeframe. I know my GPA is less than competitive, I know I've read they look at the whole picture but ugh ??

I’m not even thinking about it anymore. The wait is grueling when you’re checking it everyday. I’ve blocked it out of my mind ever since they sent the email about extending the decision. Now I’m just like, it’ll come when it comes. And until then, imma do me.

Yeah that’s exactly what my mind frame has been since they sent out those emails. I can’t check it every day and worry about it.

Hi guys! I just applied last week to the AGACNP track. I was in between that and FNP, but eventually picked one. My application was verified today! Do we find out if we are accepted through email or NursingCAS? Good luck everyone!

I called the graduate admissions office and they said the acceptance letters won't be emailed until May. She said definitely not April ?

Is there any one here that applied to the Adult Gero Acute Care Post-Masters certificate?

I haven't found any threads regarding the post masters certificates, do we take classes with the DNP students or is it separate?

I know of two people that have received acceptance emails already. I am not sure of the tracks they applied for. My residency status was updated today so maybe that is a good sign? Anyway, good luck to everyone.

They received acceptance emails to UF DNP? Is that normal procedure to stagger the acceptance emails? It also seems strange that they would send an email extending decisions to 5/31 but also send acceptance emails. Has anyone else received acceptance or rejection?

I’m a postmaster certificate applicant and called the admissions office the other day. She said decisions would be out in May but didn’t specify the date.

can you share the body of the email that you got?

I searched through my spam but I didn’t receive anything ?

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. Must be for the BSN or something else.
