University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

All I know is that they really need to send out decisions. This is ridiculous that they extended the decision timeframe.

Agreed. It’s not very considerate of applicants just because so many schools have sent out their decisions and people have to make decisions.

I guess it just shows how prestigious UF is. Literally every school I know have made decisions. May 31 is really close to the fall term for decisions. 

Do you think employers care where you went to school for your NP? Let’s say UF versus somewhere like USA(University of South Ala) that has the disk program.

I could be wrong but isn’t the FAFSA closing date 5/15? Or can we still apply even though we aren’t accepted? I don’t know much about this and how it works so any info would be helpful!

Yeah, you apply on the FAFSA website for financial aid

Apply to FAFSA ASAP and submit your information to any school you may be attending. I did this a while back and all schools I've applied to have my financial aid package.

I know of two people that have received acceptance emails already. I am not sure of the tracks they applied for. My residency status was updated today so maybe that is a good sign? Anyway, good luck to everyone.
