Hello everyone,
I did not see a conversation on UCLA MECN 2024. This is a topic for everyone who has applied to the MECN program for 2024! Good luck everyone, I am getting a little nervous. We should get acceptance letters by mid-February!

I got a C in the second part. Other than that, they were all A's. I am a CNA, took a phlebotomy course, had over 300 hrs of volunteer in the OB GYN department at the county hospital during high school. Did like 3 internships during undergrad, and last Summer did an internship at a community clinic for 100hrs and worked as an MA. I currently work as a behavioral therapist at a high school with special ED kids. My letter of recommendations were written by an LVN who supervised me when I worked as a CNA, the MD I shadowed during my internship last Summer as a medical assistant, and the teacher that I work for at the high school. I unfortunately did not build connections with any professors so I asked one of my recommenders to talk about me academically since she would see me study and do hw during my lunch break and so on. I also think my personal statement and statement of purpose were very strong, really talk about who you are, where you are coming from and why you wanna be a nurse, I hope that helps?
Yes! Thank you so much!!

I hope we all hear today regardless of the decision status. The past few weeks have been extremely stressful ?
Nvm!
I went to UCLA for undergrad so I decided to log into myUCLA portal and see if there were any changes/updates and I got in! When I logged in, the home page says congratulations on your admission and asks if I want to accept or decline my offer.
Congrats to everyone that got accepted, and if you are still waiting there is still hope! My grad application portal has still not been updated.

I also went to undergrad at UCLA and I just checked myUCLA portal after reading this; I also got accepted! There is no update on my grad application portal either. For anyone waiting still, do not worry since it seems they are not done updating the grad app portal for acceptances!!

I did my FAFSA if that's what you mean? I live with family currently 45 minutes from campus (WITHOUT TRAFFIC) ? so I'm planning to stay here at least for the first little bit. If I didn't have family near by though I would start looking into housing but I'm a PLANNER LOL

Hi, where did you go to on MyUCLA?
Has anyone who didn't go to UCLA for undergrad still not heard anything back? The only portal I can check since I didn't go there for undergrad is the graduate portal and I see no changes...SO nervous
And for people who heard back but didn't go there for undergrad -- how does the portal look different?
