University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2024

Hello everyone,

I did not see a conversation on UCLA MECN 2024. This is a topic for everyone who has applied to the MECN program for 2024! Good luck everyone, I am getting a little nervous. We should get acceptance letters by mid-February!

I checked with mark covin and he said that they usually go up to 20 on the waitlist so for those of you in the top 20 I think we have a pretty good chance of getting in!

Thanks for checking on that. I've heard the same thing from others who have been on the waitlist in the past for UCLA. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

The suspense is terrible LOL. Preparing for a trial has kept me somewhat distracted but still checking my email super often. Im expecting an 11pm email haha. Hold strong all of those who haven't heard back, you aren't alone!!

I feel like turning off my phone, I truly thought I would hear back by today and now I'm nervous as I keep checking my portal and emails.

Same, my heart jumped seeing "UCLA MECN 2024.” I'm overwhelmed with anxiety.

So I take it no one has gotten an acceptance yet??

? LOL, They did say we'll hear back by the end of February! If only this wasn't a leap year and this February had 28 days, we all would've gotten the email by tonight! Still checking my emails every two minutes ...

It's driving me nuts LOL. I really hope we hear back tomorrow, I mean we have to be right? They wouldn't wait till Friday? ?

I have a feeling they are reviewing and giving out application decisions based on the timing you submitted your application. I submitted my application late October and until today I got denial letter as oppose to getting it this past Friday.

I emailed Mark and he said that he's planning on having a release date from the graduate division next week. So there's a pretty decent chance we might not get a decision by tonight.

Wow, that's crazy! I wonder why it's taking so long this year. A friend of mine who got accepted at UCI has until tomorrow to let them know if she's going to UCI, and she still hasn't heard from UCLA which is her first choice!
