Hi! Just thought I would create a new topic for all of us applying to UCLA's MECN program this year ?

I got the same email today!! Sure wishing I was the type of person to film myself all the time right about now. I'm going to freeze on camera LOL. Any idea how many people they choose to interview?
Hey @madraetur I'm a first year MECN student and I also applied to UCI mepn program. From previous info I believe they interview about the amount of the expected cohort for that year plus 30 more. Those who get the interview are typically those they are considering for the program.

Hey @madraetur! Congrats on getting an interview! I was wondering how you accepted the interview invitation. They sent me a second email to accept the invitation without starting the interview but the link directs me to sign in with my email, but I'm nervous if this will begin my interview which I'm not ready for right now LOL. What have you done to accept the invitation?

Hi there. I believe its 70 students each cohort. However, if a previously accepted student defers their acceptance to the next year, then it would be less than 70. Sorry if that did not make sense, didn't know how to put it quite into words LOL.

Thank you!! You're all good that totally makes sense!
Hey everyone! For those of you who have research experience, how did you get connected? Like, did you go through undergrad and it was offered by your school or was it through something else? Asking for a friend who will be applying in two years but looking for research experience. Thanks in advance!
