I didn't see a thread for UCI MEPN 2022 so thought I would create one. At this point, the work is done and applications are submitted...but there's plenty to still agonize about (the 3-5% acceptance rate, for one). Does anyone have intel on whether there will be interviews, and if so, when they might be? The website says acceptance notifications will be sent "starting in March", but I haven't found anything else more concrete.
I’m in the same boat. They responded to me though and said another applicant’s decision isn’t a determination on my application status.
Figured! This is my second year applying so I am little frustrated as I have even more experience now working in a medical office/other things....I guess everything is meant to be!

I am as well. Considering there is already a waitlist I'm sure it's a no for me ?♀️ However, I really don't appreciate their delayed notification of rejection. Take $120 application fee and not respond to any emails or provide closure? Really unimpressed (and not because I was rejected...that happens and the chances are so slim) with their lack of communication and clarity.

I was planning on doing some volunteering to boost my resume. If anyone has any recommendations where or the type of volunteering please let me know! Like where did you guys volunteer?
my advice would be to find something you are passionate about, that supports your resume. What is it that you want to do? What are you truly interested in? Then start looking for volunteer opportunities that are aligned with that. The people who see your resume will see if you have volunteered just to volunteer or if you have done it out of passion to something you want to do. I did sexual assault victim advocate training at waymakers and after that you can volunteer for them. It surely is not the easiest and you truly have to be wanting to do it. Don’t go anywhere to just boost your resume, find your calling.

Same I was recently as well. Tbh with how little they accept I’m like is it even worth it to try again. Hoping by some miracle they actually open up more space and allow more people per cohort than like 3 LOL
