Hello all!
I didn't see a thread for UCI MEPN 2022 so thought I would create one. At this point, the work is done and applications are submitted...but there's plenty to still agonize about (the 3-5% acceptance rate, for one). Does anyone have intel on whether there will be interviews, and if so, when they might be? The website says acceptance notifications will be sent "starting in March", but I haven't found anything else more concrete.
Thanks, and hi!

Congratulations! That's a huge deal! I applied to so many other schools and got rejected by basically all except Johns Hopkins so I will be most likely attending there. I'm just waiting on UCI, UC Davis, and Vanderbilt. Good luck! ?
Thanks to the people that replied to my message! Was feeling really down in that moment and it’s nice to know I don’t share this struggle alone. This journey is just harder than I anticipated. Still holding some hope for UCI. Was accepted elsewhere but kind of wanted to stay in California so I’m not really sure where I’m going to go from here. The prospect of taking another year just to apply again does stress me out though. Whatever happens, happens. I’m proud of everyone. We’re going to be amazing nurses and I hope one day I get to work with some of you!

To get into any Direct-Entry program and have it completed in only 2 years is a huge accomplishment. I would definitely not roll the dice on "hoping" to get accepted in the next year, which could offer no opportunities at all, especially with expiration of pre-reqs rolling around.
Two years will go by in a flash, it doesn't matter where you are located, you are there to study, not as a tourist.
Good luck, hope you feel better.

I’m not delusional. I have an idea of where this is going. I’d just like closure. We worked really hard and I think we deserve that. I think leaving people in the dust is honestly rude of them. Why let people keep thinking they have a chance?

Hello dear,
I also just got rejected by different schools this year as well as in 2021. This is my second application cycle so I feel your pain so much, but please try not to give up on your goals! Rejection is redirection and now, I will be attending the Johns Hopkins University in the Fall! One of the most prestigious healthcare programs. You will get there too - I know it. Just try your best to keep pushing.
No matter the decision, If you need ANY help or support to get through your nursing journey, please reach out to me @hannahmaebelle on Instagram. I'm more than willing to share my stats and experiences with you. ?
Hello,
Rumors will always be rumors! Thank you for the clarification. ?
