Hi Imstressedlol, my advice would be to find something you are passionate about, that supports your resume. What is it that you want to do? What are you truly interested in? Then start looking for volunteer opportunities that are aligned with that. The people who see your resume will see if you have volunteered just to volunteer or if you have done it out of passion to something you want to do. I did sexual assault victim advocate training at waymakers and after that you can volunteer for them. It surely is not the easiest and you truly have to be wanting to do it. Don’t go anywhere to just boost your resume, find your calling. that is my two cents ? Good luck with what ever you choose to do!

Thank you! I received an official letter in email where they let me know that there is a spot open and they are offering it to me. Then they asked if I will accept it and to respond to that email. After they receive my answer they will send me further information. I got an automated message back for my response saying that she is not in office until next Tuesday and will respond then. No updates in my portal yet.

I am so excited! I received an email from UCI and they are offering me a spot in the program (I was waitlisted). I thought it will take forever if ever that I would hear anything. All of you in waitlist don't give up yet and keep checking your emails!

I did my undergrad in UCI. I got an interview and did not do as well as I would hoped. I am currently waitlisted. I've never heard of these rumors of being negatively affected if you are already affiliated with UCI.

I am in the same boat with you Norma777. I try to keep positive attitude, but I feel really disappointed ? Congrats to everyone that got in!

Hi Norma777! I didn't do as good as I'd hoped in my interviews. I didn't have technical issues, but it just was super nerve racking to me. There is nothing else we can do about it anymore. Now is the time to just keep hoping and see what happens. I completely understand your disappointment though ?. We've worked so hard to get to this point. I am choosing to take a deep breath and keep hoping. Please don't feel discouraged, the fourth question was not supposed to have an affect if you chose not to answer it.
