Hey everyone! I am planning to apply to the degree holder route for nursing at the University of Calgary for January 2021. I found this site by reading through the University of Calgary, January 2020 forum and thought it would be good to start one for this next years in take.
I am currently finishing my English prerequisite and my anatomy and physiology course at Athabasca. Last year it looked like the GPA cut off was a 3.6 and that most people over a 3.7 got accepted.

Those of us who have been accepted and live outside of Calgary have been asked to confirm whether or not we'll be living in Calgary for the upcoming term. Hope that helps.
When did you receive that email? I was accepted in early September, and I have received my official offer letter in the mail and have registered for courses. But I haven't received any emails with any info yet.

It’ll go to your student university email but you have to set it up first

Hey! So I had my last assignment marked by the 25th of August, and I got a notification on the 28th that my transcript has been sent over. I think in total it took about a week for it to show up on my student center. I was advised to call UofC once I was done my course to make sure they had initiated the transcript request. Also you can request your transcript from Athabasca and then email [email protected] to tell them to email your transcript to [email protected] instead of mailing. The latter process took about 5 business days. I did both methods to make sure my transcripts were received in time. Hope this helps!

Yes it definitely did thank you!
Hey guys, congrats to everyone who got in!
I'm looking to apply for the 2022 intake and was wondering whether anyone found out about how they convert grades to GPA? I've been working my booty off trying to get good grades and got freaked out by the continuing education conversion chart posted earlier ? I've been assuming I was doing pretty good with mostly A/A-'s (according to mount royal uni) but now I'm questioning whether most would actually be A-/B+'s? If so my competitive GPA's a lot lower than I thought, ahhhh!

Hi, I will be applying for the 2022 intake as well. From what I understood, the grading scale posted in the beginning of this post is used. I am currently doing the prereqs so I wouldn't know for sure.

Hi! Best of luck for the next cycle! I believe it will go by the standard one. From what I’ve seen in the forums, they said they used the nursing one only once you’re in the program and completing the courses in nursing. However, I do recommend contacting an advisor or admissions about this for more clarity!
I come from MRU too and I believe they used the standard one, so the letter to GPA conversion should be the same for UofC and MRU.
