University of Calgary Fall 2021 Transfer

Hello, I wanted to start the Fall 2021 admission process thread. I applied end of October and I'm having my application evaluated now. After speaking to admissions they said the competitive GPA for early admission is 3.7-3.9. I think by now it's common knowledge that unfortunately, they have about 25 transfer seats available and over 1000 applicants (for high school and transfer I'm assuming, I'm praying because that would be ridiculous). Hoping to connect with others in the same boat, transferring from other schools or U of C itself.

Fall 2021 admission into the U of C transfer route I believe will have a 3.8 cut off, as that is what it was last year

I applied for the transfer route and got my offer letter. Wondering if anyone else is also going this year? I will be moving to Calgary from BC and am totally new to the city. Very excited and look forward to connecting with others here!

Hey! did you apply for the transfer route as a degree holder? Or no? Also what was your GPA, just curious.

No, not as a degree holder. Not quite sure but I think I applied with something like 3.87/4. Hope to meet you all soon.

haha AMAZING GPA, I was told transfers within U of C would be notified end of June, and our file would be reviewed starting June 1. But application deadline was in Feb. 

Anyway yeah, excited...once I'm sure I'm in ?

I was surprised as I thought they started sending out offers in June. Hope you hear good news soon. Let me know if you do ?

K, I'll let you know and I think maybe your GPA is the reason, considering with that GPA you're kind of guaranteed a place, which I'm sure they know as well.

Damn, ya'll are killing it, I'm going in likely with a 3.83

I guess those outside of Alberta have limited seats, so perhaps they're filled earlier? But we'll definitely know if we got in my mid June, I confirmed.

I’m honestly not too sure how my GPA was converted to U of C system so I was just calculating it myself. You have an amazing GPA. I have a good feeling that you’ll hear back soon!

Wait so does this mean anyone with 3.8 and above is getting in? I have a 3.84.
