University of Calgary Fall 2021 Transfer

Hello, I wanted to start the Fall 2021 admission process thread. I applied end of October and I'm having my application evaluated now. After speaking to admissions they said the competitive GPA for early admission is 3.7-3.9. I think by now it's common knowledge that unfortunately, they have about 25 transfer seats available and over 1000 applicants (for high school and transfer I'm assuming, I'm praying because that would be ridiculous). Hoping to connect with others in the same boat, transferring from other schools or U of C itself.

Hey. I just went to go check mine, and my application is still there. When did you notice that your application was missing? Also do you mind sharing what GPA you're applying with? That could be a reason for why your application is not there also. But I don't think you should worry, I applied last Winter and my application disappeared a few days before I got the waitlist email.

Hey, sorry I thought my response sent last night. 

I noticed my application was missing last night around 8 PM. And I'm not 100% sure what my GPA is because of the classes I've CR'ED, but I think it should be around 3.85 though. I emailed the university and I'm waiting for a response now. Thank you for your help though.

All good! I think you should be fine about the whole application thing. They’re probably just assessing them now is why yours disappeared first. My GPA is 3.84. You can calculate your GPA on myuofc using GPA calculator. Can you let me know what they say when they reply to your email? Thanks!

I just calculated my GPA using the GPA calculator on MyUcalgary and it's 3.9 but when I checked my GPA for classes that I CR'ED it shows 1.7 even though I never got that. Do you think this will affect my chances of getting in?

And yeah I'll let you know what they say in the email.

I just got waitlisted with a 3.88 GPA, it must be really competitive this year. Does anybody know what the cutoff GPA is to get accepted?

I just got accepted with a 3.94 so I'm guessing around 3.9ish is the cutoff. You aren't that far off from me, best of luck!

Thanks! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I still have a chance to get in.

Must be so competitive this year…

I just checked my profile and found out my GPA is probably very close to 4 because they do count some of my transfer credits that I didn’t expect.

Hey, what time did you get accepted? Did you get a waitlist email before you got accepted? I'm so sad, I got waitlisted with a 3.84 ?

So for those of you who didn't get in, are you applying with the same GPA for Winter admission, or are you taking Summer courses to boost the GPA you have now?
