University of Alberta After Degree Program Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I haven't found a forum for fall 2021 entry of the after degree program at UofA yet so I though I'd start one! I am a current UofA student and have applied at numerous other schools!

I know UBC has their aGPA cutoff for this intake as of December 2020. I was unsure if UofA had a cutoff too.

For my harder classes like physiology and anatomy that can be the scale. But our typical grading scale is a little different than that! This is a scale from my psychology class right now and this is very typical for us.

so its different depending on the class?

Also, does your transcript show GPA or letter grades (for the final marks)

It will almost always be this scale, or at least it was for my classes. Sometimes it’ll be a little different but only off by maybe 2-3%.

For those of you who have received a conditional offer, would you mind sharing your GPA? Based on the scale above? I just want to see where I’m at ?

I had a 3.7 but I applied to the honours (IDK if thats different)

I don’t know what I had but I’m guessing either a 3.8 or 3.9

Did you end up getting the honours thing sorted out or are you going to do the honours program?

I did some digging and spoke to a professor

I think im gonna do the honours for the research aspect!

I messed up, actually with the conversation posted above ^ I have a 3.4ish

its weird bc at my university I have a 3.9, so I'm not sure how they calculated my aGPA LOL
