Hi everyone! I haven't found a forum for fall 2021 entry of the after degree program at UofA yet so I though I'd start one! I am a current UofA student and have applied at numerous other schools!

Has anyone that's gotten accepted from outside of Alberta? Do you know if UofA accepts a lot of people outside of Alberta?

I got in and Im from Ontario!

I wrote my CASPer on February 11th and haven't heard back yet. Is anyone else in the same boat? I think that means it's a no if others did receive offers today.....

Ahh that stresses me out. So what are they basing the conditional offers on? I’m confused by that.

I’m not too sure ? why would they give out a conditional and not tell us what GPA we need to maintain (plus I already paid the $500 LOL)

But, I browsed various forums and even looked at the stats for previous years (uAlberta website) and I think a 3.7 for the last 24 credits is a safe bet

What forums did you look at? I’ve been searching online and didn’t find any from previous years...could you send the links please? Thanks ?

I reached out to student connect a couple of weeks ago and they mentioned that the tuition deposit would be refunded if they revoked the offer of admission I.e. if you didn’t meet the competitive AGPA, so at least there’s that ?

Does anyone know if classes completed this semester (Winter 2021) are included in AGPA calculations!?

I just googled allnurses U of Alberta 2019 and found one, also I found a 2018 one.

here are the nursing reports for 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, they show the averages of those accepted (scroll to page 10ish)

yes they use this semester to calculate the AGPA

(so like this semester plus last semester = AGPA)

You’ve gotten an offer right? So I think they’ll use your most recent 24 credits, so yes Winter 2021 should be included!

I have received and accepted my offer! I’m just finishing up a pre-req right now. I hope they include Winter 2021 in calculation for aGPA. I’m sitting at 90’s in both classes ?

I know UBC has their aGPA cutoff for this intake as of December 2020. I was unsure if UofA had a cutoff too.
