University of Alberta After Degree Nursing 2020

I agree. It's an unfair decision in my opinion, I have A's I worked hard for and now they don't count for anything. I am waiting to hear back on whether Winter 2020 courses will be used to calculate an AGPA for Sept. 2021 entry or if they won't count towards any future applications. I'll post here if I hear back. Hi everyone,

I haven't received any word yet from Alberta. It says it is still reviewing my application...

But it looks like they've accepted people as early as Mar 29th this semester. How does Alberta roll out their admissions?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has received their acceptances/ rejections yet for Fall 2020 After Degree Nursing? My launchpad still says my application is under review. I've emailed the admissions advisor and asked if it is a rolling admission process, but I didn't get a straight answer. If anyone has heard additional information please post!

I emailed them and they said that there is no specific date and offers of admissions are sent out anytime before the end of August so just keep checking...

Hi, I’m just about to begin my pre requisite and I was wondering why your Winter courses were not considered. I intend taking Anatomy with MacEwan University in Winter. Is it that the U of A does not accept courses taken in Winter ?

Hi there, they weren't considered because U of A moved to a pass/fail grading system in the Winter term and courses taken anywhere else would not be included in the AGPA calculation. I'd check in with them and confirm what the rules are for 2021 application cycle. Hope that helps and good luck!

Awww, so you did not get the admission as a result of that ? I came across an article online that explained the reason they moved to the pass and fail grading system is because of the covid situation then. I will also reach out to them to know if they have changed back to the normal grading system becasue I’m just about to take my prerequisites.!

Oh I see. Does that mean you will be retaking it? Did you have an A in it ? I’ll be taking both anatomy and physiology in Winter 2021. Do you Think I Can take both classes and still get good grades in them ? I’m running away from the 6 units of Athabasca’s own LOL, becasue I intend o pass well.Lastly, please are the online classes everyday ? I’m sorry for my numerous questions. Thanks in advance.
